Going Green

Going green is the way of the future. I’m sure all of you have heard about the green initiative, but what are you or your company doing to participate? Do you know how to make your building or business green? Like a lot of business owners or managers you probably have ideas or thoughts about what makes a building green but are not sure how to get started. The U.S. Green Building Council is a great place to start!

The U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) was established in 1993 and over the years has grown to over 15,000 member organizations like yours. Becoming a member is easy and demonstrates a shared conviction that our built environment can improve the health of our planet, our economy and our communities. The USGB is made up a diverse community of members from architects, engineers, contractors, real-estate professionals, government agencies and more. Leaders from each of these sectors participate in the development of the LEED (leadership in energy and environmental design) rating system at the direction of the council. Innovative Solutions is a member of the USGBC and is diligently working on becoming LEED accredited to assist our South Carolina customers with this endeavor.
